Some people want to watch as the world burns.
Others just want to see it blur.
Rush, they were called.
Used to push these boots off to their limits. Rumor was they ran faster than they could think.
I say "was" because it was proven one day. They ran so far so fast they gave out. By the time anyone realized they had been gone so long, the coyotes already beat us there.
You prob'ly saw the bite outta the left boot, there. Well, now you know where that came from.
Running too much ain't good for ya. We already lost one youngin to these forsaken boots.
You want'em that bad , then you can have them. Jus' don't lish yer luck, there. You ain't Rush. Those boots'll take you out fast if you aren't careful.
You may move more than your speed in a single move action, but once you end your turn, suffer Fatigue for each 5' over your speed you moved per move action. For example, if in one move action youngo over your speed by 5', and in the same turn but another move action go over by 10', suffer 3 Fatigue levels after your turn is done.
Wealth Level Calculation
- +6 - Special
These boots were made for running, for getting that small extra bit of speed when you nees it most.
Flavor Suggestions & Settings
- You found these boots off by a coyote corpse, and they sure seem nice enough. Wonder who's they were though...
- Geez, these gaudy old things are so mid 3000s. Of all the junk to find in the rubble. What's next, a discpunk dodecahedron...? Wait a second, this acceleration tech's been outlawed for decades! Scoreboards! Let's see those laners arrest us now, eh?
In place of Fatigue, you can also have 1d6 Lethal damage be dealt when Fatigue would otherwise occur.
